Vernon Huang, M.D. - Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Huang is Chief Medical Officer at Shareable Ink and is responsible for corporate strategy.  Dr. Huang is also a board certified anesthesiologist, practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Huang has over two decades of experience in medical informatics and mobile computing.  

Prior to founding Shareable Ink, Dr. Huang led the healthcare market development efforts for a division of Apple Computer.  Dr. Huang was also an early stage employee at PatientKeeper, responsible for product marketing.

Dr. Huang is a former U.S. Navy Flight Surgeon assigned to the U.S. Marine Corps; he performs annual medical missions to underserved countries to provide anesthesia for children undergoing cleft lip surgery. Dr. Huang sits on the Boards of Shareable Ink and the non-profit organization, Destination: Hope. Formerly, he was a Board Member for the American Red Cross, Golden Gate Chapter. He was also a contributing editor of healthcare matters for Pen Computing Magazine and PDA Developer Magazine.

Dr. Huang earned an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a medical degree from The George Washington University. He received his anesthesia training at the University of Pennsylvania and the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia.
