Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Nashville, TN
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for testing software products -- ensuring new features are defect-free and that regression hasn’t occurred. A candidate for this position must be careful, methodical, and thorough, and must possess excellent testing “instincts.” Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously is a necessity. The Quality Assurance Analyst position requires problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics, and arrive at sound analysis and judgment.
Essential Duties
Read, write, and execute test plans and other technical documentation. Report defects and track them to resolution. Work with software developers, product managers, and client operations specialists to understand both the product and the customer. Be strongly motivated to release only the highest-quality software products.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field, or an equivalent combination of education or experience. At least three years of related software testing experience, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) apps.
The position requires familiarity with a broad range of tools, platforms, environments, and methodologies:
- Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Linux
- Internet Explorer 6-8, Firefox 3+, Safari 4+, Google Chrome
- Microsoft Office 2003+
- Working knowledge of automated testing tools
- Experience using agile methodology and familiar with agile application development best practices
