Integration with Existing Systems

Shareable Ink solutions are designed to integrate or interface to and from existing core hospital and practice EHR (electronic health record) and billing systems.

On the inbound side, Shareable Ink applications commonly receive ADT and Schedule interfaces from existing registration systems. On the outbound side, Shareable Ink applications typically send data and images to several systems simultaneously. For example, an image of the completed form can be sent in its entirety and automatically indexed to the patient’s record within the hospital’s document management system. Individual data elements from forms are sent to billing systems, EHR systems, and databases to track quality measures, among other things.

How It Works

Shareable Ink supports multiple interface formats, including HL7 and XML and communicates in a variety of manners, including web services.

The result is a solution that complements existing IT systems in the hospital or practice, making data available in those systems as a result of the physician or nurse documenting the same way today as they did yesterday.
